I'm working exclusively with a highly respected and rapidly growing accountancy firm in Stoke-on-Trent that is looking to recruit a Semi Senior Accountant to join their expanding accounts team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accountancy practice experience who is studying AAT, ACA or ACCA and wants to continue developing within a supportive, collaborative environment.
The Role
You'll work closely with experienced Accountants and Managers, supporting a varied portfolio of SME clients while continuing to build your technical knowledge and client-facing experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing year-end statutory accounts and management accounts
- Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax computations
- Building strong relationships with a diverse client portfolio
- Supporting clients with cloud accounting software, including Xero
- Working closely with colleagues across the wider business
- Coaching and supporting junior members of the team
- Delivering an excellent client experience from start to finish
About You
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
- AAT qualified or studying towards ACA or ACCA
- Experience preparing accounts for a range of clients
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and progress
- Experience with cloud accounting software (Xero desirable)
